I have gone into these points in some detail notwithstanding the fact that I fully appreciate that there are very great difficulties in connection with this rig, which are perhaps insurmountable. The above report is a statement showing the position of this experiment at the time it was handed to Mr Wormald. A noticeable feature of gears run in on this rig is that they are quite free from vibration when erected in the chassis, which is not the case with most of our standard gears. | ||
