STANDARDISATION SHEETS NOS. 3438 & 4387.

Dealing with your note addressed to Hr. -

Standardisation Sheet No.3438. This Sheet covers the introduction of additional parts for the purpose of strengthening up the Fan Blade. The modification will not cause any loss due to stock being scrapped.

Standardisation Sheet No.4387. This Sheet was made out specially at the request of Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} for a preliminary experimental Pilot Jet, and was only to be provisional until R had approved the design. The price given was on the basis that 20 sets of parts would be made and the Jet fitted to Repair Cars as required.

We are now advised R has got out a new and improved design of Pilot Jet, and consequently there will be a new Standardisation Sheet issued. Although the new Pilot Jet design designed by R is more complex than the sample for which we gave price, the increase in the cost of the Standard Chassis will probably be nothing, as certain parts now being supplied with the Chassis are to be eliminated.

We hope to get out a figure on the new Pilot Jet at an early date, but in the meantime we are waiting for Scheme Drawings.
