R always more completely silent. L squeaks considerably when hot. 23-4-14 Reports on bronze brakes. R new shoes installed weekend. L new shoes 10 days older than R and has therefore more wear than R.{Sir Henry Royce} They are again now equal in silent action and retarding power. Both now squeak very slightly when hot. Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} says squeak comes from back plates not drums. [Red ink margin notes, right side]: R + By on Rover Car. Result of visit to Ferodo Works.
