X2 Wer & By Fully described and agreed on our visit to Coventry only a few weeks ago.
CJ to Wer - brakes running-in they seem to be about equal in retarding power. R always more completely silent. L squeaks considerably when hot. 23-4-14
Reports on bronze brakes. R new shoes installed weekend. L new shoes 10 days older than R and has therefore more wear than R.{Sir Henry Royce} They are again now equal in silent action and retarding power. Both now squeak very slightly when hot. Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} says squeak comes from back plates not drums.
