Ignition Coil Performance tests.

Will you please arrange to carry out for us ignition coil performance tests on either a 25/30 or a Bentley chassis, in order to determine which of the 4 following coils gives the best performance.

The coils we require testing are

Our standard D.72503. coil.
New Wraith coil D.75673.
Delco Remy standard coil,
and Lucas coil as fitted to the Vauxhall.

The way we suggest to determine the performance of these coils is to set the plug gaps normally at .020 and warm each coil up by running the car for about an hour on the road, and observing generally the performance such as "pick-up" on top gear and slow running.

If all the coils satisfactorily pass this test, then gradually increase the plug gaps until one of the coils gives trouble, and this will give us a good basis of comparison.
