Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 4th inst., reference - JG/VIC, and beg to acknowledge with thanks, the two petrol gauges. We are now about to fit them on an experimental car for the purpose of putting them through a severe test, at the end of which time we shall communicate with you again. We should like to add that it may be some weeks before the result is through.

We note that they are not calibrated to suit our tank. We shall probably be able to overcome this for the purpose of the test we have in mind.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS ROYCE LTD.
