R3/M30.5.32. Contd. -2- You will realise that I am maintaining my objection to the SU. carburetter for our class of work as I consider that it has the objectionable features of the risk of dripping petrol from the gland, and its inconsistency which is sure to occur at small openings when compared with our fixed adjustment throttle edge carburation. It would also suffer many more times by altering its characteristics when changing an adjustment for temperature or different fuel. In the horizontal form however it is a good, simple, and inexpensive carburetter for rough and ready work. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
