re. the above, R.{Sir Henry Royce} proposes 9" rear, and 4" front deflection as the best compromise for American requirements.

He fears that too much flexibility will lead us to excessive rolling.

I am sending this information per memo. being too late to reach you this morning by telegram, and perhaps you will let us know what you can do as regards demonstrating these new figures.
