We have been carrying out some investigations on this car to find out whether the noise in the engine was due to too much clearance in the big end or not. We have tied this down to No. 2 cylinder, and shall be glad if you could measure up the pins and big end to see whether it has more clearance than the others.

This is useful information with a view to the experiments on lead bronze.
