BENTLEY 50 - CAST IRON ENGINE. DYNAMO MOUNTING AND OIL FEED TO DISTRIBUTOR DRIVE.

Please receive herewith E.CD.643 RR. Dynamo Mounting and Distributor Drive Oil Feed - Bentley 50.

This design of dynamo mounting is made to suit the RR. dynamo designed by 'D' Dept., and replaces the design for the Lucas dynamo shown on PD.123.

The continuation of the oil feed pipe to distributor drive on E.CD.613 is also shown on this design, it should be noted that we have increased the diameter of the tapped hole for the oil union in crankcase to .4375 in order to use in a standard banjo connection.

We have also shown a ventilating hole in front crankcase wall between tappet chamber and wheelcase, this should be added to the crankcase detail, along with the bosses for the dynamo mounting.

Will BY/RD. please note the position of lugs on the dynamo required to suit this mounting. This design should be detailed and instructed experimentally.
