We had no failure whatever on the steering parts and also the fixing for the steering gave no trouble.

As regards the front shock absorbers we consider that the base of the shock absorber could be improved. We have had two cases in which the aluminium casting has broken off at the ear which carries one of the bolts for fixing. Also unless the rivetting of the steel cup to this bracket is carried out nicely and is left with a smooth surface, the leathers are torn. We think it might be better if this was made in one piece as a drop forging. They are finding on production that the hot pressings have to be machined as they are not true enough to be used.
