Huckerby}20.9.33 re D.W.S.JACKS ----------------- With reference to the points raised in the past, that we have experienced trouble with these jack fittings, we have received the following from JLE{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager}, definitely confirming that this trouble is being experienced in service:- "It appears we have had several D.W.S.Jacks turn round on the axle even when the flat clips are fitted. In one case the nuts were not absolutely dead tight. I am arranging that a special inspection should be made of all these nuts to see that they are absolutely tight, and in the meantime I suggest that some action should be taken to make a more definite clamping of the bracket on the axle."
