X8796 C. EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /RD/ML15.3.26. RE 40/50 CHASSIS - WATFORD MAGNETO. In order to enable EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} to experiment and determine the best position of the make and break, we have schemed out a system of adjustable cams, one pair to give from 30° to 60° length of cam and another pair giving 60° to 120°. Will you please put these in hand to the blueprints herewith:- In order to fit this scheme we dispense with the ring to which the advance and retard lever is now fixed and replace it with D.1938. Further attention to the quietening of this contact breaker can be given when the approx position and length of cams are known.
