To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} [Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} is crossed out] C. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} C. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [Handwritten]: X1360 Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}4/W28.9.28. When I was at N. this week, Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} pointed out to me a new car, Chassis GKM-33, which was fitted with special road springs and which had been Cadmium plated. It would appear that instructions to Cadmium plate these springs were issued by BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} As we understand Cadmium plated road springs have not been standardised, we take it that in special cases, such as the above chassis, it may be done. As we have a number of such cases, we should be glad if we could be instructed to Cadmium plate also. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} [Handwritten signature] | ||
