9/cc. 6142. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}4/JH. 21st. February, 1940. Messrs. Lucas Ltd., Great King Street, BIRMINGHAM.19. For the attention of Mr.F.G.Thacker. Dear Sirs, In September 1937 we tested one of your 5 inch dynamos which gave an output comparable with that of our own 5 inch machine. We wondered if you could supply from stock a 5 inch machine capable of the above. We do not require any special form of drive as any of our future machines will be belt driven. We are now thinking of a suitable bought out unit for the larger class of car and would be glad to receive any details on the above. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
