X8771 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/ACL/T14.2.25. To EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/ACL. c. Mr. McMillan. S E C R E T. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. X.8771 X624 Re DYNAMOMETER TESTS OF EAC. V ENGINES. Attached are figures for the power output of EAC. V Series engine on dynamometer. The first set of readings were taken with the standard 40/50 silencer, so the "cut-out closed" figures will be somewhat lower than obtained with the E.A.C. silencer. Not having at hand any readings taken with the E.A.C. silencer on the dynamometer, we give a second curve in which the power, with cut-out closed, at rear wheels is calculated from test bed results. We are preparing a specification for dynamometer tests which will be sent out shortly. DYNAMOMETER CURVES. 40/50 SILENCER. CALCULATED FOR E.A.C. SILENCER. Engine R.P.M. HP. C/O Open. C/O Closed. HP.
