1250 Copy Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} " Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /PD (crossed out) " Lee (crossed out) Ev. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 5/EH. 18th. October 1939. Messrs. John Marston Ltd., Wolverhampton. Dear Sirs, Re. Chassis Radiators. Orders 98146 & 739. We replied to your letter Ref.AWD/CCR/BGP. of September 19th. last re the Silver Dawn Radiators, and the Silver Ripplet Radiator, drawings PD.446 and PD.466 respectively. We gathered from this letter that these special radiators were then in a fairly advanced stage and would be glad to know whether they are completed, or when we could have them. If you have completed the Ripplet Radiator to the schemes provided, we would be glad if you would tell us whether you would be in a position to modify the bonnet face plate attachment to PL.10 (2 sheets) prints of which are attached. The same remark applies to PL.12 the ferodo lacing at the side, although this is not a matter of great importance on this first radiator. A statment from you on these matters would be very welcome. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. CHASSIS DESIGN OFFICE. | ||
