EXPTL. INVESTIGATION WORK

BENTLEY & 20/25.

(1) Front End Chassis Movement.
(a) Wing stiffening.
(b) Cross member stiffening.
(c) Bumper bar damping.
(d) Damping with radiator.
(e) Effect of shock damper load Whyman, Hardy.

(2) Brakes Fading. Direct to 4 Wheels.
(a) Stiffer drums (water exclusion).
(b) M.Z. lining (servo also of this test).
(c) Steel shoes.
(d) Thermo couple tests.
(e) Larger front drums. Grylls.

(3) Engine Smoothness.
(a) Rubber mounting front and rear.
(b) Best position for damping.
(c) Short link for clutch pedal to eliminate front links.
(d) Try softer rubbers with damping. Whyman.

(4) Axle Tramp.
(a) Variation with damping.
(b) " " " frame stiffness.
