All letters must be addressed to the Company, not to individuals Dear Sirs, Ref. Chassis No. G.L.R.50. I shall be glad to have your recommendations regarding anti-freezing mixture for the above car. I have tried 20% solution of methylated spirits, but in 500 miles running with the water temperature not exceeding 80°C. the loss of spirit by evaporation is very great, necessitating the constant filling of the radiator. I should be glad to know what are the drawbacks to the use of glycerine in a 20% solution. Would this cause a deposit on the radiator tubes which might in time reduce the cooling efficiency of the radiator. I also understand that glycerine attacks the rubber connecting hose.
