Dear Sirs,

Watford Magnetic type Speedometer.

Referring to 100 m.p.h. speedometer which you have submitted to us for test. We have now tested this instrument for accuracy and for percentage drop of reading with temperature and we are satisfied that this instrument meets our requirements in this direction.

Before we can fit this type of speedometer to a chassis, however, in order to compare its durability with our standard instrument, we shall require a Cambridge dial fitting and the external dimensions of the case altered to suit our standard instrument patch.

We suggest that the matter of making up another instrument for chassis test be fully discussed with us on the occasion of your next visit to our works.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
