[Handwritten] FILE [Handwritten] Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/C.T.S. 5-40 [Handwritten] 16864 To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} o/ to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner}18/JH.30.4.40. B.80 Induction Pipe. Herewith PL.209 showing the connections for the vacuum column gear change. The size of pipe chosen is .5 outside diameter and the connection is made on the side of the pipe in order to prevent as far as possible neat petrol entering the pipe. The detail drawing which at the moment is being prepared incorporating the automatic choke, should also incorporate these features. To improve the distribution of the inlet pipe I suggested that the buffer ends should be tried. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} reports that this is a decided improvement and shortly he will send proportions of the buffers to Clan, so that all the latest modifications can be put through together. For tests refer to memo. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}10/JH.30.4.40. Enclosed 4 copies of memo. Prints of PL.209. Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
