RE SCHOOL CAR - 2 G.II.

We are sending you herewith contact breaker lever and contact point with 'Eska' tungsten tips fitted by C. Melin & Co., (Ref. letter AQ), and would be glad if you will run these on your 2GII chassis, keeping the platinum iridium tipped contact breaker lever and point as a spare or reserve for the time being.

You will also have noticed that the dynamo is fitted with a piece of copper wire under one of the clamps, to which is attached a globule of metal. This is fusible metal and we call the thing a dynamo sentinel. The one at present on the dynamo is 68°, but from our experience with other 68° dynamo sentinels the dynamo will probably have reached a temperature sufficient to cause this globule to run. We are sending you herewith a higher temperature (82°) dynamo sentinel and will be glad if you will put this on in place of the other, and let us have word if at any time it is clear that the dynamo temperature has been sufficiently high to cause this to run.
