32 X300a G.W. Hancock, Esq., Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}14/KW.20.5.36. The two points on which we should like information on the Ph.III as soon as possible are - (1) Is the dreadful smell of petrol in the rear seats which comes up when the tank is full due to inadequate venting or to the inside petrol filler ? (2) Why did the front shock absorbers lose such a large quantity of oil ? We have to-day wired you asking you to confirm that the Ph.III axle pieces are similar to the pieces which are now being fitted on production.
