(3) Slow running and snap opening up are very good. A silencer is needed to bring it to the same degree of quietness as the std. carburetter, but in its present form it is not unduly noisy. It would not appear difficult to effectively silence it. We have a temporary large capacity air silencer to test. Cold distribution is good and the hot spot appears quite effective. We do not appear to want a separate starting carburetter. We shall have to employ a fuel feed giving a better head. At the moment no definite consumption tests have been made but from a rough check on filling up, there appears no improvement on consumption. Development work is still continuing and we will supply a further report on the cutting out trouble. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lov.{Mr Lovesey} | ||
