To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from CJ. Re "NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I".

My dear R.{Sir Henry Royce},

On looking at the new chassis it strikes me that there is a covered part of the carburetter, which has the words 'Rolls-Royce' on it, which looks very like the top of a cigarette tin.

The covering of the pipe by which one replenishes the oil to the crankchamber also has the same appearance.

Do you not think that these parts might not be made to look more in accordance with RR. practice?

Yours ever,
(Sgd.) C.J.
