x Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Mths.{Reg Matthews}17/JH. 24th September, 1936. The Light Production Co.Ltd, 60/66, Rochester Row, Westminster, LONDON, S.W.1. For the attention of Mr. C.H. Brooks. Dear Sirs, We should like you to supply us with the following rings at the earliest possible date 110 rings to our drawing E.61116. 40 " " " " E.61115. 110 rings similar to E.61116 but for use without stops. 40 " " " " E.61115 " " " " We suppose you still have prints of our drawings E.61115/6 therefore we are not sending along further copies, if for any reason you have destroyed the prints we can let you have further copies if you will let us know. We should like both stopped and non-stopped rings to have similar wall pressures; that is, the free gap for the stopped rings can be increased by the amount necessary for the stop as shown on drawings or the EN value can be put up if you prefer, we think it would perhaps be better to increase the free gap and then we shall be testing as nearly as possible identical rings. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
