X4027 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}2/HP.27.8.32. re Peregrine. We send you for experiment blueprint LeC.3174 showing two oil tubes through the cylinder head. The object of the design is to make the task of oil replenishing quicker. In addition to this we should like tried six 1/4" holes drilled from the camshaft tunnel into the inside of the crankcase - that is - a hole behind each tappet block, as per the sketch. This should make the reading of the oil level gauge less delayed in action. Could you please try this on one of your engines as soon as it is convenient. E/JNR.{Charles L.
