I have received your telegram, but as I have had no intimation whatsoever as to how many more miles you wish this car to cover in France, I am not in a position to arrive at a decision. We can manage another 3,000 miles with the brakes in their present state.

I stated in my telegram that running was continued in order to indicate that we were not held up, and so that you could decide what to do with the car.

The present position is as follows :-

Total Miles in France.................. 15,396
Distance covered since taking over car from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} ............................... 12,112
Fan LOP. EB.189 complete, except that Fan hub EB.1644 is produced in A/C replacing I/C & blades are produced in duralumin... 11,780
Ignition Tube & Cable (Johnson & Philips). 11,780
British Made Dist. Arms................. 11,758
Front Brake Plate with anti-judder fittings 10,153
Damper Unit Pipe......................... 9,857
Axle Controls............................ 6,316
Lead-antimony Bumper weights............. 4,610
N° 6 Ferodo Clutch....................... 4,610
6 New Con-rods & Big end Bearings........ 4,610
