GOSHAWK 11. CARBURETTER X.4228.

AIR VALVE.

(1) The larger size should be made experimentally and tested to see if it permits of a larger high speed throat so as to give more power.

(2) Test the present air valve with more lap say .125 and .150 instead of .1, and upper part of ports wider. This gives the same total of extra air slightly later.

Sometimes one thinks the whole trouble with carburation has been temperature or lower quality of petrol.

I should like to hear of conical restrictors having been found better, and should like a pair for No.4 Goshawk 11 sent here so that we can fit them.
