Cricklewood are complaining that the new choke torsion spring is too strong, in so much that the valve will not open, and is causing flooding when starting. They are having recurrent complaints of faulty starting after having fitted the above spring, and have had to refit the old spring. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} [Handwritten] Alternative is to fit weaker spring to valve in choke butterfly. Similar to D.51745. This valve is not in action with the old choke spring. Cold starting tests were carried out at 8°F.{Mr Friese} [Handwritten] Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
