To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to CJ. c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to Dn. c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} ORIGINAL Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG26.10.21. X4247 GOSHAWK 11. X4219 GEAR BOX. We have had one of the long 2.BA bolts which are used to retain the tubes which act as guides for the selector fork, break. We consider that 2.BA bolts are not a practical size. When the bolt fails there is nothing to prevent the tube sliding right out and getting into the clutch.* Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
