To Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/EWT. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X180 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/LG1 8.10.27. Quarterly note. Replying to EWT5/T7.10.27. The following is our reply to BJ's questions :- 10-EX car. This car is a useful experimental car. At the moment, with the contemplated sports car, it is essential that we should have it because the arrangement of the chassis is very similar to what will be used on the sports cars and it is probable that we shall use this car as a dummy to send to coachbuilders for them to fit on bodies and so prevent us from letting them have a new chassis. Hawke Northcliffe. This chassis has been stored away for the last 3 yrs. It has never been run or used. The whole thing is scrap value. We would not however recommend destroying it at the moment because there are several novel features fitted to it which we might at some time wish to make tests on. No money has been spent on it. 9-G3. This car is being used for the development of more powerful 20 HP. chassis and cannot be spared. 10-G3. This car is being used by R.{Sir Henry Royce} 11-G3. This is the only standard 20 HP. closed car we have at the Works. We consider it necessary to keep it here for experimental tests. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
