Y421 4th December, 1923. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/T. Mr. John Pugh, Messrs. Rudge Whitworth Ltd., Coventry. Dear Sir, Re Road Tests. We attach herewith for your private information a copy of the daily mileages in a very recent 10,000 mile test. We find no great difficulty in averaging 500 miles per day. Experience has shown, however, that very different results will be obtained on a test of 10,000 miles run off in 20 days, compared with one carried over a longer period of time. The short test shows much less wear on the parts. We appear to avoid the insidious action of dirt and rust and deterioration of the lubricants. Yours truly, | ||
