De/Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 1023 DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}9/G.16.6.38. BACK BUMPERS FOR WIDE FRAME - 25/30. ? Replying to your Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}5/AH.9.6.38, it was agreed while you were in Derby that we could not use purely P.111 parts. The point you raise about the probable need of steadying attachment to the body was referred to in De/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}s letter, and is the subject of tests which we instructed when issuing the design. The suggestion was made by Derby. Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}'s letter also referred to the body overhang not being always as great as 46.250" and provision is made for this contingency, so probably we are doing all that can be done prior to the result of the tests. You will no doubt be sending in the drawing of the bumper as requested in Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}'s memo. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
