We are having quite a lot of trouble on certain Production Carburetters to cure the "luffing" trouble referred to in the above report. The job is occupying quite a lot of my own time as well as that of an assistant. We have at the moment two carburetters to which we have applied the known information and we cannot entirely overcome the trouble. We believe the somewhat complicated depression scheme is responsible for the trouble. We submit that if any action is going to be taken, it should be pushed forward with all speed, as our experience shows us that unless the carburetter is accurate in every detail and remains so, complaints will result in service. | ||
