X.2646 EFC1/AT131118 13.11.18. Messrs. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Lucas, Ltd., Great King Street, Birmingham. Dear Sirs, RE 12 VOLT STARTER BATTERY. We would like to have another of your latest type of 12 volt starter batteries. We have the one you recently sent to us and this has been in use for general purposes with satisfactory results for some time. We carried out a discharge capacity test at a 4 ampere rate and found a capacity of 75 ampere hours. Voltage at end of discharge 1.7 volts per cell. We now wish to carry out tests of this battery with repeatedly applied loads such as those due to an engine starter motor frequently starting and stopping. At the same time we wish to have one of these for trial on the car, therefore, we shall be pleased if you can arrange to let us have a second battery of this type. Yours faithfully, O Lucas 1260 C/1 | ||
