Re Broken Pivots.

I am impressed that the real reason for the sudden breakage of these is the alteration to the cross steering tube.

This is a most hopeful aspect as I feel sure that we shall be able to make this cross tube of a pattern that will prevent the excessive strains which are the cause of the fracture.

Although the pivots that they are now manufacturing are better than the original ones they are not so good as they can be made for the same weight.

We must therefore wait for new dies before making any more forgings for any purpose.
