We may add that the New Phantom(Codename for PHANTOM I) carburetter is very little different in design from the Silver Ghost(1907 40/50 historic RAC 15,000 miles trial) therefore when criticising its performance we should not expect to observe any marked difference. Again, there is no carburetter made which automatically gives absolute perfection under all conditions of working, but the Phantom - like the Silver Ghost(1907 40/50 historic RAC 15,000 miles trial), should, if correctly adjusted, give a better all round performance than that obtained by most of our competitors.
