There are two important items which require finishing, to enable chassis work to proceed : 1. MYTH STIFFENED FOR FRONT CROSS MEMBER. The body for this car is proceeding rapidly, and we are getting behind with the frame. The necessary twisting tests have been carried out, and the information obtained for making a better front cross member. Will you please arrange for these designs to be complete 2. LARGE PETROL TANK FOR B.5. Under existing black-out conditions, when all petrol-stations close, considerable convenience has been caused by the small capacity of B.5 petrol tanks. I understand that a 23 1/2-galloned tank is possibae on B.5. with a Corniche cross-member. Will you please finalise the design so that Wyn. can produce. Presumably the same petrol tank could be used on 3 B 50. and 4 B. 50. as we are contemplating making three off. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
