Coverley - Production Engineer} HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/PLS. [Handwritten] Mr Hth Please see me CRJ Bentley III Chassis Frame. We send herewith a print of the Bentley III chassis frame - frame cross, LeC.5481, which we sent to Messrs. Rubery Owen for their criticisms. The reply as follows:- "We acknowledge with thanks the receipt of print of LeC.5481 ..... which is in order from a production point of view, with one exception. This is that we should like the outside channels made in one piece as shown marked in red on the enclosed drawing, which would eliminate the patch plates which are spot welded at this point." We understand that the flange would still be cut and the web bent as shown in red. Would you kindly instruct this. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
