Rolls-Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, DERBY. 12th January, 1931. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 10th instant, reference ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/GEA7/EB10131, and we confirm our conversation with you this morning when we advised you that the mention of the fuel supplied to us by Messrs. Shell-Mex Ltd as D.T.D.135 was a typographical error, and should have been D.T.D.134. As we are assured by Messrs. Shell-Mex Ltd., that the spirit they have sent us is what they usually supply to you, and in view of your assurance that in this case it will be in order to proceed with the calibration of the Mark IX Flowmeter to your esteemed Order No. 10382, we are pushing ahead with this matter, and will deliver the instrument to you at the earliest possible moment. Yours faithfully, p.p. AMALGAMATED CARBURETTERS LTD. Handwritten notes: B.E.A. Shaw M'Laren Stamps: RECEIVED; REC'D 13 JAN 1931 | ||
