Rear Axle - Condition good except for shortage of oil on the brake actuating shafts. We found on investigation that the oil was running back along the small pipes which supply it to the inside of the brake shafts owing to the slow speed at which the drop is formed. We made the modifications illustrated which appears to overcome the trouble.

Propeller Shaft - Condition very good.

Pedals - Pedal shaft worn approx. .020 on the end which is located in the gear box.

Gear Box - The only fault is that the box is badly worn where the pedal shaft locates in it. This is the same trouble which was reported on the A/56 and requires design attention.
