Dear Sirs, [Handwritten underlined: Service Manager.] We are approaching you on the recommendation of Mr Rex Mundy of Messrs K.L.G. Sparking Plugs Ltd., in the hope that you may be able to render us a little assistance. We are running very shortly in the Isle of Man T.T. races for motor cycles with special racing 4-valve engines, the spark plug for which is in the centre of the cylinder head and somewhat difficult to get at, and we are hoping to procure half a dozen quickly attachable and detachable insulated high tension wire terminals, which will fit a spark plug with O.B.A. thread. Messrs K.L.G. cannot provide this and suggest that you have some similar fitting on the "PHANTOM 111". We apologise for bringing this matter to your notice, and we would appreciate hearing if or no you can supply us with something to overcome our little difficulty. Thanking you in anticipation, Yours faithfully, pp THE EXCELSIOR MOTOR CO. LTD. [Signature] Technical Manager.
