Acedes, Ltd., " British Salmson,Ltd, " Hispano Suiza, Ltd., " E.R.A, Ltd, etc. Owing to our considerable experience, also recent modifications and tests which we have carried out, we would emphasise we are now in a position to supply a solid skirt Piston, which we can guarantee definitely from a point of view of oil consumption, long life, and silence in operation. Messrs. Riley's Ltd., of Coventry, are considering the more extensive use of Specialloid Pistons, whilst, Messrs. John Marston, manufacturers of the well-known Sunbeam Motor Cycles, have just placed a contract with us for Piston supplies during 1936/7, apart from which we are supplying Messrs. Colliers, Ltd., manufacturers of the A.J.S. and Matchless range of Motor Cycles, with Pistons for their high efficiency sports and racing machines. Under these circumstances, we should like to enquire whether we may again have the opportunity of placing designs and prices before you, against the supply of Specialloid oval taper turned Pistons, as suitable for Rolls Royce engines, and we shall be glad of your usual courtesy in considering this matter. If you will let us have details of your latest type Pistons, we shall be pleased to place before you interchangeable designs of Specialloid manufacture, together with our most competitive prices for the supply of test sets and production quantities, and we shall await your reply in this connection with anticipation. We should appreciate very much the privilege of supplying Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., with Pistons for original equipment purposes and we feel confident we are now in a position to be of assistance to you, both as regards design, silence in operation, economical running and competitive prices. | ||
