Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. H. {Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Royce. Further to our letter of the 27th inst., re discolouration of dials, we have now received the following letter from the manufacturers:- "We cannot understand the remarks in your "further letter regarding the discolouration of "the dials. We shall be glad if you will examine "the ones you have in stock. We might mention "that we have made dials of this description for "a number of Firms and we have never had a complaint "like this before. If you will let us have one "back again, if there is anything to complain of, "we will send it to the Works and get a solution "of the mystery." You will note that they request us to return one from our stock, but we do not think that will be necessary, as the ones we have are like new, so that it appears the only thing to do would be to let them see the ones on the Speedometers we supplied. We shall be very pleased to act on any suggestions coming from you. As we have previously stated, we are preparing some of the small type models giving 670 and 720 r.p.m. for your "Goshawk" car, and we shall be glad to receive the official order, as you know it is more expensive making up a dozen or so of this type, but we should like to know, (as certain parts, for instance the Gear Box Coupling, will have to be hand made) if you only require a quantity of a dozen.
