Dear Mr. Hives, I am sorry to have to trouble you again, but must lay the blame on having to lie in bed with nothing to think of but what is happening to my tyres from day to day. I have been very carefully studying the report on the double tread Rapson tyres tested on your 40-50 H.P. model Rolls-Royce car on the Continent. Even taking into consideration the fact that these tyres were subjected to exceptional tests which under no circumstances would be indulged in by the normal owner, I consider all the tyres should have at least given 4,000 miles running. However, it is such tests as you are conducting that enable one, if sufficiently progressive, to tackle the job and overcome those faults which are revealed. If your cars are likely to be remaining in France for say another three weeks, I can have ready yet another type of double tread Rapson tyre which, in similar tests to those already conducted, I feel fairly certain will give at least 40% better tread wear.
