x4263 To EY. from R.{Sir Henry Royce} [Strikethrough: Copy to C?.] [Strikethrough: " " DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}] [Strikethrough: " " HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}] STAMP: ORIGINAL. R7/G25/4/21. RE "GOSHAWK II" - FRONT AXLE. X.4372 With reference to the front axle for "Goshawk II", there will be some little change made with reference to the pad on which the spring sits. This will probably be of the present pattern, but somewhat longer, not for a wider spring, but along the axis of the car. i.e. increasing the centres from about 1 3/8" to at least 1 3/4". I think our R.{Sir Henry Royce} 40/50 the clips are too near together, being only 1 1/2". We are considering increasing this to 2" and testing another pattern of clip.
