Re 4¼ litre Bentley.

We send you herewith some figures that Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} has taken of the small and large bore engines fitted in your trials car B-83-FC. This is the actual power of the engine with the exhaust system which it has in the car.

Acceleration figures are also attached.

During a short run on the road we found that at 40 m.p.h. the acceleration of the large bore in top gear was almost exactly the same as the small bore car in third gear.

We still have no figures for the petrol consumption, but Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} is doing some tests shortly.
