R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.H. 159, 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2800 ORIGINAL. TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to OJ. c. to BJ. c. to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} RE. BODY MOUNTED ON RUBBER BUFFERS. X4613 X4270 To the best of my memory we have never had any report of a car with the body mounted on rubber supports with the scuttle entirely disconnected from the dashboard. We should like to know whether this is similar to the system of mounting the body as used by Daimler, and if this or the Daimler system is of any real benefit to prevent booming from engine or road vibrations.
