I understood from you that R.{Sir Henry Royce} has approved of the instrument board as fitted to the above car, so presumably all is clear for its standardisation for chassis for Home and America. I shall be glad if BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} will confirm its introduction on N.2 series. In regard to N.Sch 3106 sent with Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M4.7.30. I shall be glad to know whether you understood that R.{Sir Henry Royce} still wished this brought along as an experiment or whether it is "washed out". I ask because I see in a memo of DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}'s to EFC. of yesterday re Clocks that he still refers to R.{Sir Henry Royce} wishing to do away with the patch scheme.
