Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter ref. EJS/MWD. of the 28th inst. enclosing a blueprint of your suggested propeller shaft for our Bentley chassis.

One criticism we have of your shaft is that the ends of the tube are swaged down to a smaller diameter, and we want to get away from swaging as we believe it is the cause of unbalance of the shaft. We should like to know, therefore, whether you have a shaft suitable for us with the tube parallel throughout its length.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
